Kinder Jr. with Ms. Kelly Semester 2 (Ages 4–6) Kinder Jr. is the perfect blend of Pre-K and Kindergarten, designed for young learners ages 4–6 who are ready to continue exploring foundational skills in a fun and engaging environment! In Semester 2, students will: Practice handwriting and writing their names with confidence. Strengthen early math skills through counting, number recognition, and simple problem-solving activities. Learn and review letter sounds, practice digraphs, and begin reading small CVC words. Enjoy hands-on arts and crafts projects tied to weekly themes. Read stories that encourage imagination, curiosity, and discussion. Learn the days of the week, months of the year, seasons, and weather patterns. Play educational games that encourage teamwork and cooperative learning. Build fine motor skills with activities like cutting, tracing, coloring, and gluing. Originally from Colorado, I’ve been homeschooling my two boys for six years and have been part of the Tampa Bay HEAT community for four years. Teaching is something I truly love, and I enjoy creating hands-on, engaging lessons that make learning exciting and memorable. Outside of teaching, I’m a homeschooling mom and crafter who loves spending time outdoors. Whether it’s a day at the beach, exploring nature, or simply enjoying fresh air with my family, I believe learning happens everywhere—not just in the classroom!
