About This Activity
This class is a hands-on class designed especially for middle school girls who want more than surface-level friendships. Through meaningful conversations, Pinterest-worthy trending crafts, Scripture and interactive activities, girls will experience what a village is and how to love others well, communicate with kindness, build authentic relationships and most importantly learn what how to BE the friend they hope to have. My goal is to cultivate kindness in a season that feels uncertain as they find themselves bringing confidence and perspective as they find their footing and discover how good God really is and how amazing he has created them to be within community. Each week we will create something fun and engaging (not school art class crafts, but crafts they will want to use, display or love making!) while exploring real life topics like navigating conflict, overcoming comparison, setting healthy boundaries and encouraging others while finding our identity in Christ. This is a low stress place where girls can laugh together, grow together, and leave feeling seen, known and loved. My name is Brandie. I’m a wife and mom of 2, 7yrs and 13yrs, and this is our 7th year homeschooling! My degree is in health science, and I’ve been a sports nutritionist and personal trainer for the last 15 years. I absolutely love taking that knowledge and showing kids what they are capable of, and how movement and nutrition create a positive and healthy lifestyle. Outside of school I love to be with my family outside in the sun, gardening- strictly food of all kinds but no flowers- they die on my watch… I enjoy being active in fitness, playing board games & I absolutely LOVE coffee of all kinds at all times of day. I hope to help kids learn that healthy lifestyles can be for anyone.
