About This Activity
Unleash your imagination and master the art of miniature world-building! This course is inspired by the techniques and themes of Minecraft Magical Bite-Size Builds, teaching students how to create stunning, fantastical scenes and detailed props within small footprints. Students will move beyond massive, blocky structures to focus on fine details, clever use of color and light, and establishing a powerful, enchanted atmosphere. Students will need a laptop, tablet, iPad, or mobile phone and access to Minecraft with a Minecraft account. Teacher Bio: Tanci Mishler has been working with children and teens in the library since she graduated from high school. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a Master's degree in Library and Information Science. She has taught classes for homeschoolers since 2008 as part of the library programs she coordinated and implemented through the Hillsborough County Public Library. After leaving the library system to home school her own children, she began offering STEAM Station programs at local libraries and began teaching a variety of classes with the Tampa Bay Heat.
