If you’re looking for a fun, hands-on learning experience for your child, you will LOVE STEAM! STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Our program is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration in all five areas. The HEAT STEAM Program is a hybrid model that combines the convenience of a drop-off program with light parent involvement, similar to a co-op. Students will be grouped by age and will remain with their assigned group for the entire semester. During the 12-week semester, students will learn from 6 different teachers. For the first 6 weeks, students rotate through 3 classes each week. For the final 6 weeks, they rotate through 3 new classes each week. STEAM Jr. students do not rotate through classes and will remain with the same teacher throughout the morning. No STEAM on 10/30/26. The cost is $350 per 12-week semester (just $9.72 per hour for 36 hours of instruction). You must be a HEAT member to participate. Registration includes most program supplies, teaching fees, administrative and facility expenses, a fun STEAM t-shirt, a standard school supply list (provided before the semester), and occasional optional supply requests for helpful donated items. Please provide your child’s shirt size at registration, as a STEAM shirt is included in tuition. This is a drop-off program, but each family is required to volunteer approximately 6 hours per semester or select a buyout option. Volunteer opportunities include car line assistance, clean-up, or assisting in the classroom for two weeks. You must complete your volunteer sign-up or pay the buyout fee before the first day of STEAM. Sign up early for the best selection using this link: https://volunteersignup.org/RM3DW Supply fees can be paid in lieu of volunteer hours: $75 for half, or $150 for all required hours. Younger siblings may not attend during volunteer hours, with the exception of nursing babies or arrangements approved by Nicole.
