Life Science 2.0 – Semester 2 This semester of Life Science will focus on Plant Life, Animal Life, Life Cycles, and Ecosystems. Students do not need to have completed Semester 1, as these are brand-new topics. Lessons will include a mix of short lectures, videos, lapbooking, and hands-on projects to make science engaging and fun. To best meet students’ needs, this class will be divided into two levels: Lower Elementary (Grades 1–3): For younger students, or 3rd graders who are not yet reading/writing independently. Upper Elementary (Advanced 3rd–5th, ages 9+ only): Designed for older or more advanced students who are ready for more independent work. Instructor: Kelly Krutz 📧 Contact: kellykrutz@gmail.com Hi! I’m Kelly Krutz, and I’m thrilled to be teaching again this year. Originally from Colorado, I’ve been homeschooling my two boys for six years and have been part of the Tampa Bay HEAT community for four years. Teaching is something I truly love, and I enjoy creating hands-on, engaging lessons that make learning exciting and memorable. Outside of teaching, I’m a homeschooling mom and crafter who loves spending time outdoors. Whether it’s a day at the beach, exploring nature, or simply enjoying fresh air with my family, I believe learning happens everywhere—not just in the classroom!
