About This Activity
Ever wanted to know what happens at the vet? We will spend our days learning the ins and outs at the vet's office. Grooming, Animal Anatomy, Diet and Nutrition, Types of Pets, Animal Behaviors/Safety, Illness, Jobs in the Animal Field, Exams, Pet Care 101, Parasites, Medicines, etc! The older group will be more biology led than the younger groups. Some newer material than last summer. (Location at HEAT- not at a Vet) Teacher Bio: Hi, my name is Nicole Cohn, I am a Christian, I have been married for 20 years, I have one daughter, a spoiled dog, and we have been homeschooling for the last seven years. My daughter graduated in 2024 from Tampa Bay HEAT and now attends SEU. Most of my career was spent in the Veterinary, Phlebotomy, and Emergency Medicine field. I love being creative, having fun, and laughing any chance I get. I use my creative side as the Tampa Bay HEAT Event Coordinator, teaching art, home economics, geography, and general science classes. I also enjoy leading our HEAT STEAM program. For fun I spend time with my family and friends, go to theme parks, go antiquing, watch sunsets, go fishing, and I am usually up for anything!
