About This Activity
Our Youth Intermediate Racing Team is the next step after our FUNdamentals Program. This multidisciplinary paddling program continues to develop fundamental paddling skills while engaging paddlers in learning to train for competition. Coaches will continue to develop boat skills and balance through workouts, games, balance challenges, and introduce paddlers to land training as it pertains to paddling (e.g., running, stretching, body exercises). This program includes paddling in canoes, kayaks, surfskis, outrigger canoes, and dragon boats, allowing paddlers to experience the different competitive avenues open to them at False Creek Sprint & False Creek Racing Canoe Club. This program includes full Summer Programming, and during the racing season, paddlers will have the opportunity to attend regattas and compete against other kids in their age category. SUMMER SESSION: July and August Summer Camp Monday-Friday - 9:00am-3:00pm September - 2x/wk Tuesday - 4:00-5:30pm Friday - 6:15 - 7:45am Saturdays - 8am - 10am
