About This Activity

Are you ready to embark on an epic adventure in the world of Civil Engineering and City Design? If you’re gearing to get started, this camp is for you! Join your fellow innovators and amateur architects in an immersive experience that will ignite a passion for shaping the future. Unleash your creativity and gain insight into the principles of urban planning, infrastructure development, and environmental sustainability. Join us to ENGINEER your architectural abilities and elevate your imagination through a perfect blend of hands-on learning and city-building. Join this camp if you want to explore Civil Engineering, City Design, Architecture, or Environmental Engineering! This program is intended for participants entering Grade 6 and 7 in September 2024. Girls* and women* bring value and diversity to STEM, and through providing a girl*-focused space, we encourage and inspire the next generation of women* in STEM. Geering Up holds All Girls* Camps every summer to encourage girls* to discover and explore their love of science and engineering. All Girls* Camps offer the same activities as their co-ed counterparts in a girl*-focused space. *We use the words “girls” and “women” with an asterisk (*) to intentionally include students and stakeholders who are underrepresented in STEM fields. Cis girls/women and trans, genderqueer, or non-binary people are welcome at our All Girls* programming. For more information, visit our All Girls* page on our website. NOTE: The same themes at the same grade level will contain the same content across all weeks. For example, Maker 2/3 (Week 1) will contain the same material as Maker 2/3 (Week 7).
