About This Activity

Explore a variety of coding and digital design platforms to build your knowledge and grow your skillset! If you’re excited about the idea of programming-based innovations, then you’ll want to join your fellow coders for a week of creative coding projects! Creative Coders does not focus on a specific coding language, but instead uses several coding platforms to expose participants to the vast world of code. All skill levels welcome; no previous computer programming experience is necessary. Welcome to the Coder Crew! Join this camp if you want to learn or enhance your coding skills and create all sorts of fascinating projects. This program is intended for participants entering Grade 4 and 5 in September 2024. Girls* and women* bring value and diversity to STEM, and through providing a girl*-focused space, we encourage and inspire the next generation of women* in STEM. Geering Up holds All Girls* Camps every summer to encourage girls* to discover and explore their love of science and engineering. All Girls* Camps offer the same activities as their co-ed counterparts in a girl*-focused space. *We use the words “girls” and “women” with an asterisk (*) to intentionally include students and stakeholders who are underrepresented in STEM fields. Cis girls/women and trans, genderqueer, or non-binary people are welcome at our All Girls* programming. For more information, visit our All Girls* page on our website. NOTE: The same themes at the same grade level will contain the same content across all weeks. For example, Maker 2/3 (Week 1) will contain the same material as Maker 2/3 (Week 7).
