About This Activity

Are you someone who loves to build things, take them apart, or come up with creative solutions to everyday problems? If so, then this camp is for you! There’s no better way to experience life as an engineer than by engaging in a creativity-filled week of hands-on project- making. Discover innovative solutions to modern-day problems through play and first-hand experimentation. Grab your hard hats and let’s get to problem solving! Join this camp if you are looking for a space to explore your hands-on problem solving and creative thinking skills! Our Maker camps feature a number of group design challenges to foster collaboration and teamwork. This program is intended for participants entering Grades 2 and 3 in September 2026. NOTE: This is a 4-day week Girls* and women* bring value and diversity to STEM. Through providing a girl*-focused space, we encourage and inspire the next generation of women* in STEM. Geering Up holds All Girls* Camps every summer to encourage girls* to discover and explore their love of science and engineering. All Girls* Camps offer the same activities as their co-ed counterparts in a girl*-focused space. *We use the words “girls” and “women” with an asterisk (*) to intentionally include students and stakeholders who are underrepresented in STEM fields. Cis girls/women and trans, genderqueer, or non-binary people are welcome at our All Girls* programming. Visit our All Girls* page on our website for more information. NOTE: The same themes at the same grade level will contain the same content across all weeks. For example, Maker 2/3 (Week 1) will contain the same material as Maker 2/3 (Week 7).
