About This Activity

Cultivate your creativity while learning all about the world around us! STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) camps combine STEM concepts with creative design through various hands-on projects. Explore your artistic side while learning about the sky, sea, cells, and more! Join us for a week filled with design inquiries and fun activities—full STEAM ahead! Join this camp if you want to unleash your creative side through original engineering projects—let’s combine the worlds of art and science! This program is intended for participants entering Grade 4 and Grade 5 in September 2024. NOTE: This is a 4-day week NOTE: The same themes at the same grade level will contain the same content across all weeks. For example, Maker 2/3 (Week 1) will contain the same material as Maker 2/3 (Week 7). Girls* and women* bring value and diversity to STEM, and through providing a girl*-focused space, we encourage and inspire the next generation of women* in STEM. Geering Up holds All Girls* Camps every summer to encourage girls* to discover and explore their love of science and engineering. All Girls* Camps offer the same activities as their co-ed counterparts in a girl*-focused space. *We use the words “girls” and “women” with an asterisk (*) to intentionally include students and stakeholders who are underrepresented in STEM fields. Cis girls/women and trans, genderqueer, or non-binary people are welcome at our All Girls* programming. For more information, visit our All Girls* page on our website.
