About This Activity
Our mission is to introduce STEM concepts to youth through a practical approach as much as possible. At our after-school clubs, it's all about learning through hands-on projects. Even within 1.5 hours, there's a whole wide world that can be mapped to any single STEM topic. Participants will be exposed to a STEM concept while learning about how it connects to other disciplines in school. Each session we will also learn about careers related to the particular STEM topic that is being explored that week! At Tecumseh Elementary School, Geering Up is hosting three weekly sessions on October 2nd, October 9th, and October 23rd (Thursdays) after school ends from 3 to 4:30 pm. Please note that there will be no session on October 16th due to early dismissal. Activities may be pulled from past curriculum, but will have a new twist.
