About This Activity
What would your dream classroom look like? In this creative STEAM workshop, kids ages 7–12 will become architects and interior designers as they design their very own classroom space! Campers will: Explore how classroom design can shape learning, creativity, collaboration, and comfort. Sketch and plan their ideal classroom, thinking about layout, furniture, lighting, and special learning spaces. Build a 3D classroom model using recycled materials, cardboard, and craft supplies. Problem-solve like real designers: how can a classroom be both functional and fun for students and teachers? By the end of the workshop, each camper will have a miniature classroom model and a new understanding of how thoughtful design can create inspiring learning environments. No experience needed, just bring your imagination! Perfect for: Young creators, future architects, imaginative thinkers, and kids who love to design and build! Note: All supplies provided and students will bring home their model. Bring a nut free lunch, water bottle, and dress for the weather as we will go outdoors
