Take a trip around the world through architecture! In this hands-on STEAM camp, kids ages 7-12 will explore the fascinating world of regional and traditional architecture. Each day, campers will discover how communities around the world have designed homes using local materials, clever techniques, and sustainable practices, then bring those designs to life with their own hands. Campers will: - Learn about the history, culture, and environmental reasoning behind each type of home. - Experiment with natural and recycled materials to build their models. - Problem-solve like traditional builders: how to keep cool in the desert, stay warm in the Arctic, or withstand monsoon rains. By the end of the week, each camper will have a new appreciation for how architecture reflects culture, climate, and creativity. No experience needed, just bring your creativity and big ideas! Perfect for: Young explorers, future architects, eco-builders, and anyone who loves to create and learn about global traditions! Petit Architect has been inspiring young designers for 8 years by fostering creativity and a love for design, empowering the next generation to shape the world around them. Please bring nut-free snacks, lunch and water, and be dressed and ready for the elements. We will go outside for breaks/lunch/games. Children will build a model to bring home. *No camp on July 1st
