About This Activity
Step right up and dive into the wild world of theme park design! In this high-energy STEAM camp, young engineers and creators will explore how rides like roller coasters, bumper cars, and Ferris wheels work by experimenting with real-world science concepts like force, motion, magnetism, and gravity. Each day, campers will investigate a new type of ride through hands-on building, storytelling, and roleplay. They’ll explore how engineers use tools to test, improve, and market their attractions. Campers will design ride models, build ramps and spinners, analyze what makes something go fast or slow, and collaborate to create shops, mascots, and signage for their park. On the final day, they’ll put it all together by building and showcasing their very own miniature amusement park!
