About This Activity
Date: August 18-22 (Ages 9-12) Theme: STEM-letics Summary: This camp combines the excitement of athletics with the curiosity of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)! This unique camp offers a perfect blend of skill-based sports activities in the morning and hands-on STEM exploration in the afternoon. Each morning, campers will develop their core skills in running, jumping, and throwing through fun interactive multi-sport games. Participants will learn fundamental movement skills to enhance physical literacy in an inclusive and supportive environment. In the afternoons, the focus shifts to STEM discovery! Campers will dive into interactive activities that focus on the science of movement, body systems, technology, and learning activities related to the STEM behind sport performance. These hands-on learning experiences will encourage problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork, with movement breaks and social interaction woven in throughout the day. With an action-packed morning of athletics and an engaging afternoon of STEM learning, STEM-Letics is the perfect camp for curious minds and active bodies!
