Registration will close on Sunday, February 21, 2027 at 11:59 PM. Are you passionate about the outdoors and ready to grow as a leader? Join us as we build the next generation of outdoor leaders through engaging leadership development and outdoor skills workshops. At our February Outdoor Leadership Club meeting at the Vernon Hills Gathering Place, we will explore fun and engaging ways to teach Leave No Trace principles to younger campers. Together we will practice techniques for introducing outdoor ethics through games, demonstrations, and age-appropriate discussions. Work with others to develop creative teaching ideas, practice facilitating activities, and learn how to encourage positive behaviors and promote respect for nature, wildlife, and shared outdoor spaces. Be better prepared to serve as a role model and outdoor educator, helping younger campers build a lifelong appreciation for the natural world. This is a drop off event. This program is designed for participation without an adult chaperone. Transportation is available for this event departing from and returning to the Greene Wood Gathering Place. A snack is provided as part of this event. A patch is included for youth participants registered before Sunday, February 21, 2027. This event will take place inside. There are no stairs to enter the building. Financial Assistance may be available for this program. Details for how to apply can be found in the registration forms as you complete your registration.
