About This Activity
Based on a tap dance routine, the Shim Sham Shimmy was adapted by Lindy Hoppers when Lindy Hop legend Frankie Manning started using it as a class warm-up. Now performed at swing dances all over the world, including Gottaswing dances at Colvin Run Dance Hall, BlackRock Center For the Arts, and the Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park, you’ll love being part of this world-wide tradition! No partner needed, all levels welcome.
