FACT Tuesday After-School Autism Program Who Can Participate? This program is designed for individuals with autism who attend: I.C. Norcom High School Churchland Middle School Churchland High School S.H. Clark Academy What Does the Program Provide? FACT will provide after-school transportation, staff support, supervision, and activities for participants every Tuesday. Participants will be picked up from their respective school and transported to the FACT Autism Resource Center, where they will participate in a variety of structured and recreational activities before being transported home. While at the Resource Center, participants will rotate through stations that may include: Light snack/refreshments Homework support, when homework is sent home Sensory gym activities 1/2-court basketball gym Wii and other games Karaoke Classroom games and activities Socializing and hanging out with peers Staff will be available throughout the program to provide support and supervision. 1:1 support may be provided when deemed appropriate and necessary. Community Outings Participants will have the opportunity to attend one scheduled community outing each month. Community outings will be planned in advance, and families will receive notification of the outing prior to the scheduled date. All outings will take place during the regularly scheduled program hours. Where? FACT Autism Resource Center 3509 Virginia Beach Blvd. Virginia Beach, VA 23452 Transportation: Participants will be picked up from their respective schools and transported to FACT's Autism Resource Center. At the end of the program, participants will be transported to their homes in Portsmouth. When? Every Tuesday After school – 5:30 PM Transportation, school pick-up, and home drop-off are included. What Does FACT Provide? FACT will provide: After-school transportation School pick-up and home drop-off Qualified staff and supervision Participant support Light refresh
