About This Activity
Who: Volunteers must be between the ages of 13-40 years old and will follow/model directions/activities and actively engage with participants with autism. Training is not required, but volunteers are expected to behave maturely and responsibly. Volunteers need not be proficient in the sport. A volunteer's primary purpose is social engagement and modeling. Where: FACT Autism Resource Center 3509 Virginia Beach Blvd Virginia Beach, VA 23452 Why: Our goal is for every child to walk out of the gym with a smile on their face, but we also hope to increase our athlete’s physical endurance, coordination, attention, and social interaction through team play.
