FACT Co-Ed Swimming Program Who: Volunteer Opportunities Volunteers must be between the ages of 13+ years old. Volunteers will be expected to follow and model instructions, participate in swimming-related activities, and actively engage with individuals with autism. Prior training or swimming experience is not required. However, volunteers are expected to demonstrate maturity, responsibility, patience, and a positive attitude. Volunteers do not need to be proficient swimmers. Their primary role is to encourage social interaction, provide positive peer modeling, and help create an inclusive and supportive environment for all participants. What: F.A.C.T. is thrilled to introduce Co-Ed Swimming to our families! Our experienced coaches and staff will use hands-on instruction, demonstrations, visual supports, and peer modeling to teach participants the fundamentals of swimming and help them develop confidence and comfort in the water. Through structured swimming activities and guided instruction, we hope to improve our athletes' water awareness, swimming skills, physical endurance, coordination, attention, and social interaction. Participants will also have opportunities to practice following directions, building confidence, and developing positive peer relationships in a fun and supportive aquatic environment.
