FACT CO-ED SWIMMING PROGRAM MAKE A SPLASH WITH FACT! WHO: Participants with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ages 8+ WHAT: Get ready to make a splash! F.A.C.T. is excited to dive into a new Co-Ed Swimming Program for our families! Our experienced coaches and staff will provide hands-on instruction, demonstrations, and visual supports to help participants build swimming skills, develop water confidence, and learn important swimming fundamentals. The idea being that the first 20 minutes is focused on swimming instruction / warm up (pool introductions, swimming laps at whatever capacity this looks like for each swimmer, and stretching). the second 20 minutes will be filled with a structured activity (water volleyball, basketball, Marco Polo, Sharks and Minnows, Colors, etc.) and the last 20 minutes will be swimmers choice (continue with game, swim laps, or free style choice). Each swimmer will have a support staff with them. Through fun, engaging, and structured pool activities, participants will have the opportunity to strengthen physical endurance, coordination, attention, and social interaction while building confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
