About This Activity
Who: Out and About (Criteria: Individuals 13 to 40 with a primary diagnosis of autism are eligible to attend. Out-n-About is designed for individuals who do not meet the communication and behavior criteria for Teen Time or Social Club but still want and need to spend time with their peers enjoying recreational activities. Participants may be non-verbal and/ or exhibit stereotypical behaviors. Students who become physically aggressive when frustrated may not be good candidates for the Out-n-About program.) What: Homecoming Dance- ALL WHITE Theme! Wear all white Where: Drop off and pick up will be in the at the FRONT of the FACT Autism Resource Center 3509 Virginia Beach Blvd Virginia Beach, VA 23452 When: Saturday November 22, 2025 from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Why: To provide social interaction and community engagement opportunities to teens and young adults with autism. Description: Join us as we dance the night away on FACT's Homecoming Night! This can be as formal of an event as you make it or can be a casual night of dancing. Dress in your best ALL WHITE attire! Beverages and light refreshments will be provided. Dates are welcome to register. Tickets will not be offered at a discounted rate. The $20 ticket covers one participant with ASD or 1 Chaperone. If your child with ASD would like to bring a date with ASD, each participant must register individually. Chaperones must be 18 or older to attend and must maintain supervision of their participant. If a participant registers without a chaperone, FACT will have staff and volunteers on site to provide supervision. Registration: RSVP online a minimum of 48 hours prior to Out & About (please note that space is frequently limited and may be sold out prior to the 48-hour deadline.)
