About This Activity
Who: Out and About (Criteria: Individuals 13+ with a primary diagnosis of autism are eligible to attend. Out-n-About is designed for individuals who do not meet the communication and behavior criteria for Teen Time or Social Club but still want and need to spend time with their peers enjoying recreational activities. Participants may be non-verbal and/ or exhibit stereotypical behaviors. Students who become physically aggressive when frustrated may not be good candidates for the Out-n-About program.) What: Admirals Hockey Game @ Norfolk Scope Where: Drop off and Pick up: FACT Autism Resource Center 3509 Virginia Beach Blvd Virginia Beach, VA 23452 When: Saturday January 31, 2026, from 6:15 PM – 9:30 PM Why: To provide social interaction and community engagement opportunities to teens and young adults with autism. How: Adult staff and peer volunteer chaperones will provide 1:1 or 1:2 supervision. Description: Join FACT as we cheer on our local Ice Hockey team - The Norfolk Admirals! The Admirals will take on the South Carolina Stingrays at the Norfolk Scope Arena. Please note: price includes staff, admission, and transportation. Concessions are not included. If you would like, please provide your child monies to purchase concessions. THE SCOPE HAS GONE CASHLESS. If you plan on purchasing anything, please bring a card or cashless payment. Registration: RSVP online a minimum of 48 hours prior to O&A (please note that space is frequently limited and may be sold out prior to the 48-hour deadline.)
