About This Activity
Who: Teen Night (Criteria: Teen Night is for individuals 13-18 who are able to participate in simple conversations, follow multi-step directions, have a clear understanding of dangerous situations (crossing the street, etc.) and visit the restroom independently. Appropriate behavior is mandatory. Language or actions of violent or sexual nature, are strictly forbidden.) What: Game On Gaming Center Our premier gaming center provides the ultimate interactive experience with multiple consoles, lagless flatscreen monitors, and over 100 games. With 40 xbox one's, 26 PS4's, 11 Nintendo switches, 5 VR systems and 32 pc's With Super Fast Verizon Fios Internet, this is definitely the best place to get your Game On! Each guest will get pizza, drinks, and a sweet treat! Where: Drop off and Pick up will be at Heritage United Methodist Church- 815 Baker Rd., Virginia Beach, Virginia, 23462 When: Saturday May 13, 2023 from 4:30-7:30pm Why: To provide social interaction and community engagement opportunities to teens and young adults with autism. How: Adult staff and peer volunteer chaperones will provide 1:6 supervision. Peer volunteers will also participate, but their primary purpose is to provide social interaction, not supervision. Registration: RSVP online a minimum of 48 hours prior to Teen Time (please note that space is frequently limited and may be sold out prior to the 48-hour deadline.)
