About This Activity
Summer camp is a place for one with ASD to escape the realities of day to day life and explore the community we live in. Each camper will be paired in a pod with, up to, 1-2 staff & volunteers and 1 other camper. FACT takes pride in providing one-on-one support to our campers which allows for more of an independent summer experience. FACT will never turn away a camper for their needs no matter how big or small- we meet you where you are and will individualize your camp experience.Each camper will participate in 2 field trips daily: once to swim and once to play. Ocean Breeze, the Aquarium, Hampton Aquaplex, the Zoo, the Children' Museum, and more are on the daily agenda here at Camp GonnawannaGOagin'! REGISTRATION: Placed on a Pre-Registration Waitlist initially at no charge- a temp. hold on the waitlist. This DOES NOT guarantee your spot at camp. Register for only the weeks you know you are available and can attend (do not pre-register for a week you know you are on vacation / not willing to miss ESY / Summer School / or do not have transportation to and from camp). Register for the tuition level you qualify for You will be entered into a lottery for each week registered. CAMPERS WILL ONLY BE AWARDED 1 WEEK OF CAMP! If awarded 1 week of camp and pre-registered for all weeks, your registrations for the additional weeks will be removed. If you cannot attend the week you've pre-selected and have been awarded, you will be placed on the bottom of the waitlist for the new week(s) requested and will be notified if a spot becomes available. You will not be guaranteed a spot. Once you've been awarded a week, you will have 5 days to make the $35 down payment to hold your spot. The remaining tuition can be placed on a payment plan if desired. TIME: You will receive an email assigning your camp drop off and pick up time slots. First session= drop off and pick up between 8:40-8:50am and 2:50-3:00pm. Second session=drop off and pick up between 9:00-9:10am and 3:10-3:20pm.
