Saturday Night Open Sports Who: YOU! Anyone with autism! Participants of all ages, abilities, and skill levels are welcome. No previous sports experience is necessary—come ready to move, play, and have fun! What: A night in for the kids and a night out for the parents! 💙 Come enjoy three hours of open recreation and sports at the FACT Autism Resource Center. Participants will have access to the gym, Sensory Gym, and other recreational spaces while enjoying a variety of organized and free-play activities. Activities may include: 🏀 Basketball 🏃 Tag 🏐 Dodgeball 🛴 Scooter relays 🎲 Tabletop games 🎮 Video games 🎬 Movies 🤸 Sensory Gym activities And more! Participants will be given activity choices throughout the evening and can enjoy a combination of active play, games, and relaxing activities. A tentative evening schedule is: 6:00–6:45 PM — Dinner/Snack Participants are encouraged to bring a snack and/or bagged dinner and a water bottle. 6:45–8:15 PM — Organized Free Play Participants can choose from a variety of sports, recreation, and activity options. 8:15–9:00 PM — Tabletop Activities and/or Movie Wind down the evening with games, movies, video games, or other relaxing activities. The schedule may be adjusted based on participant interests and the needs of the group. Why: Sometimes kids need a night to run, play, laugh, and have fun—and parents need a few hours to themselves! GonnawannaSPORTagin’ provides a safe, supportive environment where individuals with autism can participate in recreational activities, make choices, interact with peers, and enjoy being active while parents and caregivers get a well-deserved break.
