About This Activity
Volunteer info: Come enjoy three hours of open sports, snacks, and games. Volunteers must be able/willing to play, assist, and socialize with all participants with ASD. Volunteers will be required to engage participants in the sporting activities and assist staff with duties needed to keep campers safe and distanced. Volunteers must be 13-40. You are invited to come to play basketball, tag, dodgeball, compete in scooter relays, and more! This program is designed for participants of all ages and will be staffed on a 1:5 ratio. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a snack and/or a bagged dinner and a water bottle. A tentative schedule is as follows: 6:00-6:45 Pm Dinner/Snack 6:45-8:15 Pm Organized free play (activity choices provided) 8:15-9:00 Pm Table Top activity and/or Movie Where: FACT Autism Resource Center 3509 Virginia Beach Blvd Virginia Beach, VA 23452 When: Saturday(s) September 21, October 19, November 16 Why: To allow a safe place for children of all ages with ASD a place to stay and participate in sporting activities while parents/ caregivers have a couple of hours to themselves.
