About This Activity
Who: Volunteers must be between the ages of 13-40 years old and will follow/model directions/activities and actively engage with participants with autism. Training is not required, but volunteers are expected to behave maturely and responsibly. Volunteers need not be proficient in the sport. A volunteer's primary purpose is social engagement and modeling. What: F.A.C.T. is thrilled to bring co-ed Volleyball to our families with autism. Our coaches and staff will use their expertise, modeling, and visuals to teach skills and understanding of the game. We hope to increase our athlete’s physical endurance and coordination, attention, and social interaction through team play. Where: FACT Autism Resource Center 3509 Virginia Beach Blvd Virginia Beach, VA 23452 When: November 8- December 20 (no volleyball on 11/29) on Saturday mornings from 9:15-11:45am
