The Baylor Baseball All-Star Youth Skills and Games Camp is an All-Skills Camp, which covers the fundamentals of the game each day. Instruction will cover the fundamentals of Infield play, Throwing, Base running, Outfield Play, Hitting and Pitching. In addition to skill and drill stations, the campers will also have the opportunity to play games, which will emphasize the skills taught earlier in camp. This fun environment provides opportunities to improve game speed skills and practice game situations. The Baylor Coaches believe in a combination of serious skill development as well as drills devised to enjoy the game and enjoy the process of getting better. The Baylor Coaching Staff hopes that in addition to developing baseball skills, the campers continue to develop a love for the game. Campers will be broken up into drills and teams based on AGE. Coaches will allow campers to team with a maximum number of friends as well. Check in starts at 8:15am. Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, helmet, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear. Baylor University Certified Athletic Trainer will be on-site for entire camp. This is not an "overnight" camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodations. Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
