Baylor Baseball is proud to host our first summer Junior Bears Camp designed for players in grades 5-8. This camp will be structured to be more advanced than our youth camp. Each day the players will go through fundamentals in baserunning, infield, outfield, hitting, pitching and catching skills. We will use various drills and games each day for players to work on each skill and implement them in a competitive environment. The Baylor coaching staff hopes to challenge this older group to help improve their skills and continue to foster their knowledge and passion for the game. Players will be broken up into groups based on age and skill level and will have the opportunity to play with their friends as much as possible. Check in starts at 8:00 am. Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, helmet, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear. Baylor University Certified Athletic Trainer will be on-site for entire camp. This is not an "overnight" camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodations. Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
