About This Activity
The Baylor University Summer Debate Workshop has operated each Summer since 1937 (with the exception of the two COVID years). The workshop provides outstanding preparation for debate competition for the upcoming season. The policy debate workshop will provide preparation to debate the 2026-27 national topic on national health insurance. The Lincoln-Douglas workshop will provide case building instruction and practice on one of the proposed topics for the Fall Semester of 2026. Students will receive instruction from some of the nation's best coaches, including Dr. Rich Edwards, professor of communication at Baylor University.
