This in-person 4 hour class prepares participants ages 11-16 to safely provide care for infants and children. Learn important skills like diapering, feeding and holding children in addition to safety and emergency response. Upon completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate from the American Red Cross. Instructor Bio: First Point Training, LLC is a Maine-based business specializing in Red Cross-certified safety courses. All classes are led by Licensed Instructor Jennifer L. Harris of Washington, Maine, who holds a degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Southern Maine. With a strong background in water safety, swim instruction, First Aid, CPR, and Basic Life Support, Jennifer brings years of experience and a deep commitment to high-quality training. Known for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment, she is passionate about helping students build confidence and master essential lifesaving skills. A Maine native, Jennifer lives in Washington with her husband Neil and their two children, Kyle and Marissa. Outside of teaching, she enjoys hiking, photography, painting, and spending time with her family.
