About This Activity
Red Dot Pistol Basics teaches you the basics of how to use a handgun with a red dot sight attached to it. Topics covered will be dot aquasition upon presentation, the draw, target focus shooting with a dot, self defense oriented grip and stance, single handed use. Required Gear - handgun with red dot optic - holster; strong side or AIWB only. No cross draw, shoulder, ankle, small of back, or pocket carry allowed. - 550 rounds of ammunition - 4 magazines or speed loaders or more - magazine holder - eye protection - ear protection - electronic is preferred. - note taking material - clothing for weather conditions and closed toe shoes - Spare battery for optic - Manual for optic - Sight adjustment tool for optic - water - snacks / lunch Optional Gear - sunscreen - bug spray - chair Rental pistol with holster and magazines available for those wanting to learn before they buy.
