PARTIES FOR SEPTEMBER 2023- JUNE 2024Birthday parties are for Waltham Residents only who are at least “Tigers” according the current Waltham Recreation Brochure. See below for party information and how to reserve online.LIONS: Born September 2021-August 2022TIGERS: Born September 2020– August 2021BEARS: Born September 2019– August 2020GIRAFFES: Born September 2018– August 2019If this is your child’s first time participating in a Waltham Recreation Department program, please bring a copy of a current utility bill and birthday child’s birth certificate to verify age and residency.Reservations will be accepted a maximum of two months in advance (ex. September 15th for a November 15th party) and must be booked a minimum of two weeks prior.Reservations must be completed online. Full payment is due upon booking.(Base fee - Resident: $150.00/Non Resident: $165.00)Party times are available most Saturdays and Sundays from September through June at 11:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m.Party Options – You will need to select one from each category1. Choose ONE large space: __ Skate ‘n’ Scoot __ Auditorium with Bounce Castle __ Gymnasium with Sport TBD (Sundays Only) 2. PLUS: choose one other activity from below:__I would ONLY like the large area I selected above for the full activity hour __Bowling (Kindergarten+) __Glow Gaga Ball (Grades 2+)__Paint Locker with $25 additional Fee (choose and paint one ceramic/wood piece per person to take home) PARTY INFORMATION• Maximum number of guests for one party is 20 youth participants.• Birthday child and parent(s) should arrive at least 15 minutes early (though please no more than 30 minutes early as the room will not be ready).• Activities will begin 15 minutes after your party start time, to ensure all guests have arrived. This time will be spent in the party room. Activities will run consecutively for a total of one hour.• For the remaining 45 minutes, you will return to the party room for refreshments. It is strongly suggested that parents plan entertainment to keep the children engaged during this time. Staff will be available to help with any clean-up/set-up needs.• The Recreation Department will provide party staff. Staff responsibilities include set-up, greeting and welcoming party guests, assisting with refreshments and cleanup. There will also be a host to oversee activities. The host will ensure the activities are running smoothly and safely. Parents are asked to assist with supervision of party guests.• We will provide paper goods (table coverings, plates, cups, napkins in white) and utensils (forks, spoons, cake cutter, and ice cream scoop), candles and lighter. You may bring your own table decorations, but nothing may be adhered to the walls or ceiling.• Parents will provide all refreshments, including drinks. Parents are responsible for accommodating all food allergies. Rooms are not guaranteed nut free.• We will provide a large bag for transporting gifts home. Gifts can be opened during the refreshment period or you can choose to do this at home.
