About This Activity
The K-2nd Grade Program consists of five sessions. After you register your student into this program, Twindly will assign each student into a color group and they will follow the rotation of their unique color group. Rotations will include Maestro Music, Fit for Fun, Tech Time, Circle Time, and Adorable Art. Circle Time will include storytime, learning about calendars, beginning numbers and letters. If you have questions about Circle Time, email Eric Rains at eric.rains@matsuk12.us. Maestro Music: Students will sing songs appropriate to their age and ability. They will also learn to sight read rhythms with notes and rests. They will learn the families of instruments and learn to hear and discern each instrument's unique tambour. We will practice writing clefs, notes, rests, bar lines etc. There will also be play along with prerecorded music times with hand held rhythm instruments to be passed around the class. If you have questions about Maestro Music, email jerodgers1@juno.com. Fit for Fun consists of fun, physically active games, basic sport skills and some strength, flexibly and cardio work. If you have questions about Fit for Fun, email Kim Bergey at kb1fitmother907@gmail.com. In Adorable Art, students will use different media to produce a variety of art work. Some classes will center around our topic "create like the masters", which introduces the students to famous artists, followed by a project in their style/technique. Tech Time: We are studying about dinosaurs & making a poster board & building Lego models to go with it. We will present them at our Tech Showcase at Twindly on Apr. 2nd, 2025.
