WRESTLING 2026-27
INTRO TO WRESTLING K-8TH GRADE
- This registration DOES NOT include a USA card!
- This is a perfect option for first year participants wanting to give it a try. You participate in practices and scrimmages and can choose to participate in tournaments that do not require a USA Card.
- If down the road your child does want to participate in tournaments that require a USA Card, you can purchase one at USA Wrestling.
SEASON: Wrestling Season will begin mid-November (November 16th) with the regular season running through the second to last week of February. Practices are on MONDAY and WEDNSDAY from 6:00pm to 7:30 pm in the High School Gym. Coaches and the director choose tournaments to go to throughout the season and participation in each is not required but always encouraged.

COST: Registration is $35.00.
**A separate $50.00 wrestling singlet deposit is required. A deposit check should be written payable to WYSO in order to receive a singlet. Your check will be returned to you when the singlet is returned at the end of season.
**WYSO’s annual tournament will be held on December 19th, 2026. To help support our youth wrestling program, parents/guardians will be required to sign up for two 1 hour working shifts at either concessions, registration/check-in, and/or admissions table during the wrestling season. These shifts may take place at our wrestling tournament or if girls or boys basketball host a tournament. Volunteer opportunities and sign-up information will be provided as the season progresses. Your participation is greatly appreciated and helps make our wrestling program successful!
