Drawing & PaintingSESSION 01 PMJune 8 - June 12, 202612:30 - 3:00pmAmerica's First Artists: Symbols & StoriesCampers gain exposure to different mediums, styles and techniques of drawing and painting, developing skills and knowledge for a solid foundation for future learning.
Students experiment with pencil, charcoal and paint while learning about shading, perspective, proportion, composition, and color theory in a fun and inspiring environment. Young artists may work from still life arrangements, create landscapes from photographs, try their hand at portrait painting inspired by the great masters, or even paint outdoors in the garden "plein air" style!
This class is one week, runs Monday-Friday, and lasts 2.5 hours with a snack break outside, weather permitting. Please remember a water bottle, small snack, and wear clothes that can get messy.
Every week is different at Wayne Art Center's Summer Art Camp and class projects will change weekly to correspond with this year's camp theme -- ART 250: Visions of America.
To create a full-day camp experience, register for a different morning class and Lunch Bunch, our supervised lunch break in the Children's Garden.
Medical, Emergency and Release Forms: All forms are to be completed through ePACT, a secure online emergency network. Once you complete registration, you will receive an email from ePACT that contains a link to create an account; click on the ePACT link and follow the instructions to complete all medical and emergency forms, which are required to attend camp.
