Crafting America's Story: Visual Storytelling
Take your wheel throwing skills to the next level in this week-long intensive ceramics course! Whether you are just starting out or well acquainted with the wheel, this class teaches you tricks and techniques to make functional pots, bowls, cups, and plates. Young ceramicists discover rules of centering and pulling clay to make functional items, as well as learning about glazes and the firing processes.
Finished glazed and fired projects can be picked up two weeks following your camp.
This class is four days, runs Monday-Thursday, and lasts 1.5 hours.
Every week is different at Wayne Art Center's Summer Art Camp and class projects will change weekly to correspond with this year's camp theme -- ART 250: Visions of America.
Medical, Emergency and Release Forms: All forms are to be completed through ePACT, a secure online emergency network. Once you complete registration, you will receive an email from ePACT that contains a link to create an account; click on the ePACT link and follow the instructions to complete all medical and emergency forms, which are required to attend camp.
