Grab a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, older sibling, or another favorite family member and hit the dance floor together! In this fun and energetic class, students will learn jazz and tap choreography inspired by Broadway favorites while building confidence, coordination, and performance skills. This class is open to family members (9th grade or older) of participants to dance alongside them, creating a special opportunity to make memories together through theater. Don't have someone to bring? No problem! Whether you're dancing with a loved one or making new friends, you'll build skills and share plenty of laughs along the way. The session will conclude with a toe-tapping ensemble performance for family and friends! Prerequisites: None Instructors: Lexine Forsyth & Kala Lewis CLASS ATTENDANCE POLICY Education is the core of Stage Kids’ programs—this is where kids develop most! Participation in a Stage Kids class is, therefore, a REQUIREMENT for participating in a show. Intro to Theater -1 (ITT-1) & Intro to Theater -2 (ITT-2) must be taken first. (Simultaneous participation in a show and a core class is allowed.) For ALL students who take ITT-1 & ITT-2, no more than TWO (2) classes can be missed throughout the duration of the class session in order to fulfill the core class requirement and earn eligibility to take elective classes in the future. If a student takes ITT-1 or ITT-2 and misses more than 2 classes during the session, they must retake the class at a future date. For show participants only, no more than TWO (2) classes can be missed throughout the duration of ANY class session in order to fulfill the class requirement for show participation. If more than two classes are missed, your child's eligibility for future shows may be impacted.
