This advanced acting class is designed for developing performers ready to dig deeper into character, storytelling, and ensemble work. Students will work on short scenes and theatrical vignettes that challenge them to make bold choices, listen actively, and respond truthfully in the moment. Through guided rehearsal, peer collaboration, and focused feedback, students will refine their acting skills by exploring objectives, relationships, subtext, and emotional arc while strengthening their stage presence and confidence. This class is ideal for students who are excited to stretch themselves as actors, sharpen their instincts, and discover how small moments can make a big impact on stage. Instructor: Nadine Blanchard CLASS/WORKSHOP ATTENDANCE POLICY Education is the core of Stage Kids’ programs—this is where kids develop most! Participation in a Stage Kids class is, therefore, a REQUIREMENT for participating in a show. Intro to Theater -1 (ITT-1) & Intro to Theater -2 (ITT-2) must be taken first. (Simultaneous participation in a show and a core class is allowed.) For ALL students who take ITT-1 & ITT-2, no more than TWO (2) classes can be missed throughout the duration of the class session in order to fulfill the core class requirement and earn eligibility to take elective classes in the future. If a student takes ITT-1 or ITT-2 and misses more than 2 classes during the session, they must retake the class at a future date. For show participants only, no more than TWO (2) classes can be missed throughout the duration of ANY class session in order to fulfill the class requirement for show participation. If more than two classes are missed, your child's eligibility for future shows may be impacted. For show participants only, attendance on BOTH days of the workshop is required in order to fulfill the class requirement for show participation. If one or both workshops are missed your child’s eligibility for future shows may be impacted.
