About This Activity
Showstoppers is a great way for our youngest performers to be introduced to Stage Kids Spotlight productions! Participants will learn the songs and choreography for two ensembles and will join the full cast in 4 performances of How to Train Your Dragon JR. at the Numerica Performing Arts Center. Parent Volunteer Hours Required: At least one parent of each participant is required to help at one dress rehearsal or show (equivalent of 4 hours). Parent Meeting Attendance Required: Tuesday, August 18 at 6:00pm @Grange. *10 Weeks Total: 7 weeks of class: Wednesdays, August 19 - September 30, 4:00-5:15pm 2 weeks of rehearsals with the full cast: Monday or Tuesday, October 5 or 6 and October 12 or 13, 5:30-8:30pm TECH / DRESS REHEARSALS: Performers must be available Sunday, October 18 and Monday or Tuesday, October 19 or 20 (times TBD) PERFORMANCES: Showstoppers will participate in 4 performances of How to Train Your Dragon JR. during show week. Performers will be placed in cast A or B and must be available for all of their shows. CAST A: Wednesday, October 21 @ 6:30PM Friday, October 23 @ 10:30AM Saturday, October 24 @ 2:00PM Saturday, October 24 @ 6:30PM CAST B: Thursday, October 22 @ 10:30AM Thursday, October 22 @ 6:30PM Friday, October 23 @ 6:30PM Sunday, October 25 @ 2:00PM *All participants will receive a Stage Kids Spotlight Production t-shirt.
