Get ready to leap, lunge, and laugh your way through Sherwood Forest! In this action-packed workshop, students will learn the basics of safe and theatrical stage combat—perfect for our hilarious take on the legend of Robin Hood. From sword fights to silly scuffles, kids will explore timing, teamwork, and how to make battles look bold (but stay safe!). Whether you're a merry man, a villainous sheriff, or a sword-wielding squirrel, this class brings the fun and the flair to every fight scene. Participants in this class will perform in The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood and will need to commit to four additional rehearsals, tech and dress rehearsals, and all six shows. Tuition includes a show t-shirt and costuming fee. Workshop dates: Wednesday, Jan 14 & Friday, Jan 16 Rehearsal Dates: Jan 31, Feb 7, 9, 14 Show Week: Feb 16-21 *All participants will receive a Spotlight Production t-shirt. Prerequisite: Intro to Theater-1 and Intro to Theater-2 Instructor: Ken Sinko CLASS/WORKSHOP ATTENDANCE POLICY Education is the core of Stage Kids’ programs—this is where kids develop most! Participation in a Stage Kids class is, therefore, a REQUIREMENT for participating in a show. Intro to Theater -1 (ITT-1) & Intro to Theater -2 (ITT-2) must be taken first. (Simultaneous participation in a show and a core class is allowed.) For ALL students who take ITT-1 & ITT-2, no more than TWO (2) classes can be missed throughout the duration of the class session in order to fulfill the core class requirement and earn eligibility to take elective classes in the future. If a student takes ITT-1 or ITT-2 and misses more than 2 classes during the session, they must retake the class at a future date. For show participants only, no more than TWO (2) classes can be missed throughout the duration of ANY class session in order to fulfill the class requirement for show participation. If more than two classes are missed, your child's eligibility for future shows may be impacted.
