Blast off into an exciting, Christ-centered study of space with Apologia’s Exploring Creation with Astronomy! Explore the wonders of the universe—including planets, stars, galaxies, comets, space travel, and more—through a Biblical lens. Students will use Apologia’s regular notebooking journal to deepen their understanding with vocabulary activities, scientific experiments, note-taking, creative writing, and mini-book projects. Each week in class, students will participate in discussions, hands-on activities, and experiments that bring astronomy to life. The notebooking journal helps students reinforce learning through guided journaling, review questions, and fun mini-projects—all designed to promote independence and a love for science. Class Format: Weekly 50-minute sessions with assigned reading and mini-projects at home between classes. Supplies Needed: composition notebook, pencil, colored pencils, scissors, glue stick. These materials will be provided for use in the classroom but students should also have access to these materials at home. The cost of the Apologia notebooking journal and other needed supplies are included the class. Come ready to explore God’s amazing universe and discover the incredible design of His creation—one planet at a time! Instructor: Tom Stone & Heather Hernandez
