Join us for this hands-on opportunity to explore the skills to finger pick a five-string banjo! This class involves the learning of hand coordinations to finger pick bluegrass music patterns and chord-making functions while developing both right and left hand skills. Time and practice are combined with exercises to learn muscle coordination of picking patterns on the banjo strings. You do not need to learn to read music! The use of “tablature written music” applying numbers as music notation will guide you to making music on this stringed instrument. Music will follow typical folk and country music styles. Note: Further lessons can be arranged through the instructor. Please pre-register as a minimum of 2 people is required to run the course. Thu. Sep. 10 Introduction is Free Classes: Thu.
