Mariachi Camp: August 11-15
Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday – Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
Immerse yourself in the music of Jalisco, Mexico, Mariachi music! Mariachi music portrays the cultures Mexican history, going back to beginning of 1800’s where it first began its groove. Mariachi band includes guitarron, vihuelas, violins, trumpet, and a chorus group.
Come join Mariachi Summer Camp, where students can choose to learn how to play the guitarron, vihuela, ukulele, violin, and voice. Students will learn how these instruments make up the sounds of mariachi, and will be able to perform a concert by the end of the week.
Students will need black pants for the concert.
Morning snack and lunch will be available. Menu details and costs will be sent prior to camp.
All students must bring their own water bottle and sunscreen to camp each day.
Students will need a white, long sleeved, button down shirt and black pants for the concert.
Attendance
-Students must pay for the full week, regardless of attendance
-Families are asked to contact the Front Desk at 503-616-5967 regarding any absences as soon as possible.
Withdraws, Refunds, & Credits
-Youth Music Project offers a full refund up to one week before the first day of the camp for which you are registered.
-Students that cancel with less than one week will receive a 50% refund of their payment or deposit.
-Once the camp has started, the Youth Music Project will not offer any refund if you withdraw from camp.
