About This Activity
Have a child who loves animals but doesn’t know what careers exist beyond being a veterinarian? This camp is intended for campers who want to learn about, and experience a behind-the-scenes look at an animal shelter! Through interactive lessons and featured guest speakers, campers will explore animal-related careers, learn about animal welfare issues, fostering, pet sitting, and spend time with an array of animals. By the end of the week, campers will have a thorough understanding of an animal shelter, from intake to adoption and everything in between. If the opportunity arises, campers may have the option to observe a spay/neuter surgery.
