Unlock the world of coding and creativity in our week-long Coding Camp! Designed specifically for Grade 1 and 2 students, this exciting camp introduces basic coding skills through interactive, hands-on lessons, ensuring campers are up-to-date with the technology shaping their future. Led by experienced instructors, campers will dive into the Scratch programming language, a visual and beginner-friendly platform that helps young minds grasp the core concepts of programming. Through fun, interactive activities, they will learn key programming principles such as sequence, selection, and repetition—all while creating their own projects! These hands-on projects help beginner programmers lay a solid foundation for more advanced coding skills, while also offering detailed guidance and challenges for those who may have some prior experience. Whether starting from 'scratch' or refining existing knowledge, campers will gain practical coding skills and learn how to approach problem-solving with a logical mindset. No programming experience is required, but familiarity with basic tasks on Windows is expected. Our 'Wired for Success' camp will help prepare students with the computer skills needed for this program. Along with coding, we’ll also incorporate outdoor activities each day, ensuring that campers get time to stretch, play, and recharge between sessions. Week 2 - 3 days Week 5 - 5 days This is a half-day program.
