About This Activity
This immersive 'Musical Theatre' camp offers a vibrant fusion of singing, dancing, and acting at a Grade 3-5 level. It provides aspiring young talents the opportunity to shine on the stage like never before. Performers will receive training in these essential skills needed to become a great performer. The focus will be on expression, character development and teamwork while helping to build confidence, stage presence, and a great foundation in the performing arts. Creativity will also be inspired by making crafts and accessories based on the theme. Join us for a week of wonder, friendship, and unforgettable moments. Week 4 (July 14-18) - Wickedly Twisted: The Secrets of Oz Step into the land of Oz like you’ve never seen it before! In this Wicked-themed musical theatre camp—with a twist—campers will uncover the hidden secrets and untold stories of Oz. What if the Yellow Brick Road had a mind of its own? What if the flying monkeys had their own song? What did the Munchkins really think of Dorothy? In this imaginative and inclusive camp, young performers will explore Wicked and The Wizard of Oz while adding their own creative twists, original characters, and musical mashups. So grab your broomstick (or bubble) and get ready to defy gravity in a whole new way! This is a full-day program. Instructors are from Act-Alive Academy.
