Heartwood: Year 3 of our leadership training for youth ages 13+! We are thrilled to offer this program for Youth Leaders from the community to support our Summer Camps! Youth Leaders will play a key role in creating a rich, dynamic learning environment in the forest for all campers both by learning and by leading. The program fee covers the training week, and any subsequent weeks where the participant will join us on the ground in an active volunteer mentorship role: Training week: June 24-28 + 1 week volunteer placement Youth Leaders will assist staff by supporting and leading games and activities, by mentoring younger campers, and by sharing their own interests in the natural world around them. Youth Leaders will gain experience in facilitating in an outdoor setting while modelling empathy, awareness and community. Strong Roots Bursary Fund If there is a financial barrier preventing you or your child from participating, please head to riverstoridges.org/bursary-fund for more information. Refund Policy A full refund (less $50 non-refundable deposit and registration fee) will be issued to any cancellation made during the notice period of 28 calendar days or more prior to the start date of the camp. Full refunds (including $50 deposit) will be offered for a cancellation within 48 hours of registering. Refunds are not available if a cancellation is made 28 of less before day 1 of program. Cancellation Policy Rivers to Ridges reserves the right to cancel camps that have low registration. In this event, a transfer or full refund will be provided (less processing fees). Holidays Rivers to Ridges programs will not run on any holidays falling within the camp week.
